On-page SEO refers to everything you do directly on your website to improve where it shows up in search results. It is called "on-page" because all the work happens on the pages you already own and control: no waiting for other websites, no chasing backlinks, just your content and how well it is put together. The URL or slug is the actual address of your page. Keep it short, readable, and specific to what the page covers. Off-page SEO refers to everything that happens outside your website that helps it rank higher on search engines. If on-page SEO is about what you put on your site, off-page SEO is about convincing the rest of the internet that your website is authentic, trustworthy, and worth recommending. The most effective way to build off-page SEO is through link building, getting other websites to link back to yours. But it does not stop there.
