1. Fresher Salary: What to Expect in Your First Job

If you are just starting out after your vocational training course, you can realistically expect to get a salary from 18,000 to 25,000 per month. Most freshers join as junior technicians or helper technicians at HVAC companies, electric firms, or appliance service centers.

As in the first year, you will be able to gain in-hand experience and be able to build your experience and confidence. Many technicians see their in-hand jobs get a pay raise to NPR 25,000-30,000 without changing their current job. Employers in Nepal’s HVAC sector are known to reward performance quickly because skilled workers are hard to find it nowadays.

2. Experienced Technician Salary (2-4 Years)

After getting experience of two to four years in the field, a skilled technician in Nepal can earn typically from NPR 28,000 to 45,000 per month. 5. Foreign Employment: The Gulf Opportunity

One of the best ways for trained AC technicians from Nepal to make money is to work abroad, especially in Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.

HVAC technicians in these countries usually make tax-free salaries of NPR 60,000 to 1,30,000 per month. The employer usually pays for their housing and food. This is why many vocational training graduates in Nepal want to work in technical fields abroad.

To be able to work as an AC technician in another country, you usually need the following:

  • A certificate of vocational training that is recognized (CTEVT-affiliated)
  • At least one to two years of real-world experience
  • A passport that is still valid and a medical clearance that is still valid
  • Foreign Employment Board (FEB) registration through an authorized manpower agency
